• Look at number on printer. GO to HP.com and download software. Mine came in the same way. It works fine with no payment due.

• I went to 123.hp.com/setup (according to the installation instruction, step 2) and everything was downloaded and installed. I did have an issue with connecting my iPad, but HP Support helped with that.
