After unboxing the printer and removing all the packing tape, plug the power cord into the back of the printer and then into an electrical outlet. Place paper in the paper tray (although you can do this later). Press the power button on the printer, then just follow the directions on the printer's touchscreen. The printer will connect to your home network once you choose your network from the list of networks it finds, and you supply your network password. Setup is easy and intuitive, essentially plug-and-play. Then go to Control Panel on your computer (type Control Panel in the "Type here to Search" box, lower left near Start button), choose devices and printers, find this printer in the pictured list, right-click it, and make it your default printer. Hope this helps.
