How do you open to replace ink cartridges? null

You grip the side edges of the top and lift up, the top hinges at the back exposing the insides where you can easily get at the carriage that holds the ink cartridges.

On the right side of the printer there is an indentation in the top left hand corner. Lift from there to access the ink cartridges.

There are one or two indentations on the side of the top portion of the printer. Press them in and lift the top. I had the same problem.

It opens similar to how the lid does for scanning except you lift from the side.
