Hello there, Mike, I appreciate your question. HP Instant Ink is set up to function per model - so with your new model, you'll sign up and get those free 12 months with HP+, but you'll want to cancel the Instant Ink on your previous 8610, as you won't want to be charged for not using it. It will be the same account, but a different printer.
