• Yes. I've done it and you can scan/copy any size of paper that will fit into the feeder or lay on the glass as long as it fits within the markings by the glass top.

• Yes. The 8620 has an 8.5 X 14 legal size scanner platen allowing it to scan and copy up to and including legal size.

• Letter is 8.5x11 and Legal is 8.5x14. Yes, the 8620 will copy up to Legal size.

• Yes, you can copy an 8 1/2 × 11 sheet. That is standard letter-sized paper. It will also copy 8 1/2 × 14 legal sheets, but you need to change the copy settings.
