Please try again later.I don't know about connecting it to a modem - I used the phone line its supposed to use for faxing but it also gives you an email you can send stuff to the printer and I believe lets you fax via your home network that it should be connected to - I would research a little more about your particular need and make sure before purchasing as it doesn't sound like your wanting to use it as it was originally designed - there are several options for emailing the printer to print remotely but I'm not entirely sure about faxing via a modem vs the phone it was designed to use?
