• Incredibly easy. As long as the printer is on your network, your Apple device, whether it is a MacBook, IPad or and IPhone will automatically find the printer when it searches for it when you go to print something.

• Since this question is a month old you may already answered your questions. I connected my iPhone 7 to the HP Office Jet Pro 8720 by down loading the app: HP Smart, from the Apple Store. My wife's MacBook "found" the wireless signal of the 8720 and we put it on the list of available printers (she also uses the MacBook at work and has the business' printer on her list of printers). Hopes this helps.
