what no hp ink cartridges does this model use? null

Regular cartridges are numbered 952/953. Instant Ink cartridges are numbered 954/955.

952 for regular size and 952XL for extra large and also a 956XL larger black ink cartridge.

The HP 8720 printer uses: For color, HP 952 and HP 952XL cart's; For Black only. HP 952 and HP952XL AND HP 956XL. . For future info, the outside faces of the packaging boxes for HP printers show which ink cartridges each model uses. Sometimes it is on the Front--lower right; sometimes on the Top flaps.
