“On the Amazon site for this printer- one guy said that he didn't opt to sign up for the instant ink service- but every time he prints a page, he gets a notice about that service. Is it just him or everybody gets this annoying notice? Joe”

It's just him. I saw the notice once at install time and the HP software never asked me to opt in again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ink notification is a feature that you can turn off. It's hidden deep in the settings and a little tricky to find. I print across the network and don't have a problem with it popping up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn’t sign up for the instant either. And I’ve never gotten a notice on my printer. So it must be in the settings .That may be a way to stop the notifications. Hope this helps .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ink that comes with the printer are Instant Ink ready cartridges. Once those cartridges are replaced there should not be messages. Also they should not be appearing on every print.
