Yes you can connect to it wireless or through the USB port on the printer. Epson has model WF 7620 and 7640 that will handle 11 x 17.

I had 2 expensive photo printers with 8 and 9 cartridges, and the nozzles were always clogging up. After using much ink to clear the nozzles (and costing a fortune in ink), I dumped both of them. I just bought the HP 8740. The Epsons did beautiful photos, but the customer service was terrible. I now adjust and crop my photos with Apple's Photos software and send them to Amazon. They charge 9 cents for each 4x6 print, far cheaper than what it costs me for paper and ink and, since I have Amazon Prime, the shipping is free. They do a fine job--the prints are as good as what I used to print.
