“Have you found a fix or a replacement for the paper tray? The issues are well-documented. There is NO WAY to lock the tray in for 8.5" x 11" paper. When printing, the printer will pick up MANY sheets to print just one copy. Please advise.”

This concerned me too. But each time I open the paper tray to insert a sheet to print on the back side of the paper, I just push the entire stack of paper forward. I haven't had any issues with extra sheets being pulled.

Your best resources for support would be Geek Squad Support along with HP Support. Both teams have the knowledge to look into why the tray is not locking it's grabbing multiple sheets of paper and give you a solution.
