The slower RAM _should_ work, although you may have to go into the computer BIOS and adjust some of the settings. Having said that, you'll get better performance if you replace the existing RAM with 2 8 gigabyte modules that run at 3200 MHz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Why would you even consider downgrading? Doubling the amount of ram at slower speeds will only decrease the performance. Is like going from a 2 seater Ferrari to a 5 seater Camry; you'll have more room but will lack the horse power. Only upgrade to more RAM of equal or greater speed to actually gain performance.
