Its great for gaming. An SSD (Solid State Drive) doesn't involve moving parts like typical hard drives (discs that spin). This results in faster performance (much, much faster) for reading/writing files, fewer parts that can break, and a longer life span. Think of it like a flash drive on steroids versus a loud, spinning hard drive.
