“How does this laptop do with emulation? Specifically looking at RPCS3 for ps3 games which is very demanding of the processor. Is overheating an issue? How many cores/threads does this processor have?”

It really shouldn't have any problems with that emulation. We haven't heard of any problems with overheating. The processor has 6 performance cores and 4 efficient cores for a total of 10 and 16 threads.
