The exception to this is when a technician licensed by the company performs the upgrade, in which case any ancillary damage is also covered. This also applies in the situation where a part is removed, then reinserted, such as in a troubleshooting procedure. And if you don't damage it while it is "in transit" or being replaced in its original position, it will act the same.
