“Are the 3.5 headphone port not supposed to work Out of the box?”

• You might have to select the headphone output as your audio device. On the bottom right of the Windows 10 desktop, you will see a speaker icon. Click that icon and you can select different audio devices. Make sure the headphone option is selected.
