HP intends to make you purchase HP branded RAM, which is massively overpriced. They do this by limiting any off-brand RAM’s speed. There is a workaround using the program Ryzen Master. Look up “Hp Omen RAM upgrade” on YouTube for more info. (DanKamYouKnow makes fantastic videos on upgrading omen PCs.) Best of luck.
