• This has the option to be plugged in with ethernet or Wi/Fi. Ethernet is your best option if available.

• Hello! Thank you for your interest in the HP OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop (model GT16-0044). This model does come with a wireless card and is capable of connecting wirelessly to Wi-Fi. It also has an Ethernet port for a hard-wired connection if you prefer!

• Just to be clear: WiFi is short for "Wireless Fidelity," so by definition, any connection via WiFi involves radio waves, not wires or "cords." Only if you used the Ethernet port would you need a "cord."
