- Answer Hey, I’m Austin, and I want to help you answer your question, but do mind it may be very long. (I’m not from support team or anything either) but if you are wanting to add more Gbs of ram, you will have to make sure you use the same brand and size as mixing brands will Work, BUT it wouldn’t be best for preformance. So let’s say you got Cruical Ballisix 16GB ram stick. It would be recommended to get another from the same manufacturer, same size, and frequency to make things easier, but one thing to look for is what generation the ram stick is. Never use an older generation with an newer one as it will not work properly nor work at all.

QuestionI only have one PCIEx4 slot available. I inserted a USB expansion card. Is there a way to "split" the PCIEx4 card so that I can add other cards? I know I can attach a riser which would give me extra SATA connections but I'm asking PCIE extra

- Answer Yes, you can get a PCIe "riser" that allows you to connect multiple PCIe card. Please note that you're then sharing the PCIe bandwidth and lanes between multiple cards, so it will very likely affect the performance of the cards-particularly if one of them is a video card, which likes to take as much bandwith as possible.

- Answer Thank you for the question. You can increase storage for the Omen GT21-0164 by adding another m.2 SSD to the vacant slot. A compatible SSD will have storage interface PCIe® and the storage interface protocol NVMe™.

- Answer My motherboard is a PCIEx4 so a PCIEx16 won't fit. Check the slot and it will clearly state what it is. This is important as a PCIEx4 card will fit a PCIEx4,8,16 but a PCIEX16 card will not fit any motherboard slot except PCIEx16 since it will be too large.

- Answer There are two m.2 slots on the motherboard. One holds the SSD, which the othe has the WiFi module connected. There is no place to put a second m.2 drive, although you can replace the existing drive with a higher capacity model

- Answer You could add another 16 gigabytes of the DDR4-3733 MHz XMP Heatsink RAM that's currently in the machine to take it to 32 gigabytes. The computer has an 800 watt power supply and Nvidia recommends an 850 for the RTX 4090, so it's not guaranteed to work.

QuestionThe specs say that the PC is liquid cooled, however HP replied to another user and said that it was air cooled and has RGB ram. Another user said it does not have RGB ram and is liquid cooled. Can someone answer with 100 percent certainty and clarity here

- Answer Thank you for reaching out. When comparing specifications, model numbers are the key to finding the proper information. This model, the Omen 40L GT21-0164, has a 120mm RGB liquid cooler and 2 x 120 mm RGB front fans, and has RGB memory lighting, that can be controlled using the Omen Light Studio software.

- Answer It's impossible to tell you which would be "best", because there are too many variables. Do you want a large screen? A high resolution? A fast refresh rate? How much do you have to spend? Those are probably the main questions.
