“Will the OMEN 40L take any brand of DDR4 SDRAM 3200MHz memory? Some reviews say it ONLY accepts the HP Brand? Also, can I add 16 + 16GB to the already 8 + 8GB, making a total of 48 GB Ram?”

I upgraded mine with corsair pro rgb 32gb 3600mhz ram. The RAM will only run @ 3467mhz though(motherboard possibly?). but It booted up no problem after installing different RAM. I tried bios to up the speeds but then it wouldn't boot. but you should have no problem putting different NON HP RAM in it.
