Stock temps under load (playing warzone at 1440p max graphics) CPU- 72-80c GPU- 68-80c I was not happy with those temps and wanted lower temps. I replaced rear exhaust fan, added 2 120mm case fans( one to the bottom and one to the HDD bay area) and replaced the stock cpu radiator fan with a noctua. I also underclocked the cpu and gpu slightly. Temps under load are now as follows: CPU- 55-67c GPU- 50-67c I highly recommend underclocking and adding/replacing stock fans to improve airflow and temps.

You can fix the issue by setting a more moderate plan via windows power setting. To fix the overheat issue, change the "Power Options" via windows settings -> Power & sleep -> Additional power settings. Change plan settings of the currently selected plan (HP Recommended). Expend Processor power management. Set Maximum processor state setting to 95~99% (I use 97%) and Minimum processor state setting to 0%. This would result a much quiet system for every day use, even if you run 100% cpu most of the time. and won't notice much of the performance difference. You can alway switch to High performance plan or set the value using OMEN gaming hub if you want maximum performance. but the root cause is the stock cooler can not keep up with this cpu at maximum performance.
