Thank you for reaching out. You should be getting more than one hour of battery life. It could be a settings issue, as using battery power only with the brightest screen, using Wi-Fi and several apps simultaneously will cause the laptop to work harder, and drain power faster. It might be worth a conversation with HP Support to ensure there are no manufacturing issues, as it's still under warranty. Please call 800-474-6836 for assistance. Unfortunately, your purchase date exceeds Best Buy's return window.
