• There are no batteries, it is a wired mouse using a USB connection. Excellent Mouse.

• It’s not a cordless mouse. It doesn’t use batteries. It get power over the USB cable.

• well, this is a very late answer, and you probably have already either gotten this mouse or another, but just in case: This mouse does not require any batteries. it is wired, so you just plug it in and it's ready to go.
