• yes , i would highly recommend you do it also as the drive thats in here is a slow. I added a 1 TB WD black and read and write speeds doubled!!

• Yes you can upgrade the SSD, i did and i would highly recommend it. The SSD from HP only give 3,000 read and 1500 write speeds. You can put in a new drive for 50-60 bucks and have the double the performance and space.
