• Yes, it will work fine. If you have a Thunderbolt dock it will only work on the ports on the right side of the laptop. If it is a USB dock, it will work on any of the ports.

• Yes. That's exacly what we use. Ours is a Targus brand unit that drives two HDMI monitors, adds USB ports, and Ethernet through a single USB-C connection.
