Q: QuestionTwo questions - does this laptop qualify for the student discount of $150.00 and does it have a built-in DVD player so you can watch movies, etc?

• A:Answer I ordered this computer particularly for the DVD/CD ROM optical drive so I could install Linux. I installed Opensuse off a DVD so the drive did some heavy lifting within a week of receiving and had no problems.

• A:Answer I bought this HP for my wife to replace her Dell net book. I have only used it sparingly. With that being said, that question is the very reason that I wanted her to have this computer. I believe that it does have a CD/DVD writer and lots of ram and a 1TB hard drive. My wife seems to really lie it and being the gold edition it is a good looking machine.
