Apologies for what you're experiencing. The 15-EG0079NR has a 250-nit BrightView display. You can adjust brightness using either the keyboard controls - Fn key + F10 Key, or the Windows 10 settings. Go into Windows Control Panel>>Power Options>>Power Management. Select "adjust brightness". Use the slider to increase brightness. (Note that when using battery power only, the screen will be dimmer by default to save battery life, but you can adjust it using the aforementioned steps).
