“My biggest concern looking at this rig is the hinge, and from what Ive read, the flexing plastic case. How durable is it cause I don't want to open and close it over the years only for the hinge to outright snap and the case to break like my last Laptop.”

I've owned the laptop for a month now and the hinge seems pretty durable over all. However, I also only lift the screen from the middle and never a corner as a general rule of thumb.
