My mouse did not have a transceiver as well but I read where it is installed in the computer so you don't need an external one. I was glad for that as it didn't take up a usb port. I had no problem with mine working.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The new computers have the transceiver built in, so there is no reason to have an external transceiver. We had the same question when we bought our new computer. A Geek squad member opened a a box in the store to confirm that the transceiver had not been omitted from our unit.
