• Thank you for reaching out. It must be an error. Checking the motherboard shows me that this computer has two RAM slots and has 2 sticks installed.

• I didn't open it up but the box states there are 1 4gb and 1 8gb.

• I found this a bit confusing too, might be a type-o or that it's counting the HDD as part of the memory included? It's 2 memory sticks and slots for RAM, 1 spot for a 3.5" HDD.

• I think that's just a misprint. There are two memory slots and sticks.
