• A:Answer Yes! And it plays very well. Just take your time inserting it. It isn’t like the cd ports of the old towers but it will more than suffice.

Q: QuestionThis is my brand new desktop. I want to know if the disc drive can play CD, DVD? I just inserted a music CD, there was nothing show up on my monitor to function the CD, such as play, pulse or stop. How do I play this music CD?

• A:Answer It does not include a built in camera and microphone. You'll need to buy an external webcam and mount it on the top of your monitor. To hear the sound, you'll either need a pair of headphones or computer speakers.

Q: QuestionCan you replace the CPU to a Ryzen 5 1600???? While using the same CPU fan

• A:Answer Unfortunately not. The Intel Core i series and the AMD Ryzen processors have different pin configurations and won't work in a motherboard designed for the other brand of processor. You could up upgrade the 8th generation i3 in that computer with an 8th generation i5 or i7, and the same fan should work.

• A:Answer Yes, the disc drive on the front of the computer should open when you push the small rectangular button on it. Before returning the computer, check with Geek Squad or HP Support to see if there is help they can give to get it working.

Q: QuestionI've had this desktop for a couple of weeks and want to know if I can use my camera's SD card in the card slot, as the slot is larger than the card. I don't want to try and get it stuck in there! And if it doesn't fit, what are my options?

• A:Answer I am thinking that your camera actually takes a micro SD card??? If so, you need an adapter that you put it into, and then it fits in the SD slot on your computer. Lots of times when you buy a micro SD card, the adapter is included with it.

• A:Answer Hello and thanks for your question. You can get various versions of Linux that can boot from a USB flash drive. After you do this, you can enter the bios on your computer by turning it on from the off position, and pressing the F10 key to enter the BIOS settings. You can select to boot from USB first and then save this setting. Then you can reboot with your flash drive plugged in and use Linux!
