• It comes with a CD/DVD player. The Best Buy technician, who set up the computer for us, said unlike previous models, there is no Windows Media Player included on this desktop. You can download it but It is not free. He downloaded this free one, which he said is good: True DVD by HP. All we have to do is insert the DVD and the computer will automatically play it.

• Thanks for your question! Yes this computer has a DVD writer that can read(play) and write both CD's and DVD's.
