“Does this have to be plugged in to the internet router or just an outlet?”

• outlet is always for power and is always required. ethernet connection is optional, this unit ships with a wifi adapter built in. it can run either wifi 5 wireless internet, or ol' fashioned tethered ethernet. the wifi adapter also handles bluetooth for this unit
