You could certainly use this laptop. However, it may not be the best choice for you for a couple of reasons. Since the screen is 11.6 inches, it's quite small and may be difficult to try and read documents for extended periods. Also, if your grad school program requires you to download and run different programs, the fact that it's a relatively slow processor and only has 4 gigabytes of RAM may cause other problems. I think you'd be happier with something in the 14-16 inch range, with either an i3 or Ryzen 3 processor, and 8 gigabytes of RAM if you can swing it. It will be more money, but it's going to be much easier for you to use.
