The box was opened at one time before it was sold, so technical it is not brand new.

The printer wad opened and then returned to the store. Customer decided they didn't want it.

Its one that was a demo or mist likely was returned. Same warranty all the accessories ( except where noted) way lower price. Haggle with them and you may even get it for less.

He was able to get the unit plus the case for the same price for which he would have been able to only buy the unit.
