“The product listing says "free instant ink trial" What is free? Everyone is offered a subscription for payment. Most are offered a specific # of months for free, this just says free trial which is very unclear.”

To claim that offer, you add the printer to the HP Smart app on your phone or your computer, enroll the printer in HP+, which will be offered to you during the setup, then it will take you to Instant Ink enrollment. After that. you will be able to use HP's Instant Ink service. If you missed it during setup, you simply look for the "Explore HP+" tile in HP Smart and follow the steps above.
