“A lot of the reviews stated that the fan was exceptionally noisy. Do you know if this was just an issue with a select few ( faulty fan?) or is this just the way this particular system will sound?”

My PC wasn't particularly noisy, however I returned it yesterday because it would shut off by itself intermittently. Geek Squad stated that HP was aware of the issue and this unit is now on recall.
