Hi, Yak, and thanks for asking about permanently connecting with 5 GHz Wifi. Yes, the printer should permanently connect to 5 GHz, provided there's bandwidth on the 5 GHz network. If you've got a lot of things connected on the 5 GHz network, it may be that the router is dropping the printer. So check for that, and if that's not the problem, download the latest drivers for the printer and see if that takes care of the problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The specifications clearly say both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz connectivity to wifi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.5 g is a marketing term for cellular spectrum and not relevant. 2.4 and 5 ghz are the Wifi frequency that the printer can or will not connect
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That I really can’t answer for sure. But common sense tells me that the answer from HP tech is not correct because most all cell phones are 5g now. Maybe it’s a update to the software issue, or I have had issues if to many devices were connected to my service provider.some services I think I could be wrong might limit the amount of devices that can connect at one time, you might check with your provider of your WIFI.
