• Thank you for the question. The Spectre 16-f1013dx has onboard memory - soldered to the motherboard. It is not upgradeable except by a highly skilled professional technician. Self-upgrading may void the warranty. The SSD can be switched out for one of more capacity.

• I would think that HP allows upgrades performed by a warranty service dealer like Best Buy without voiding warranty.
