• The hinges in this computer are really solid! There is nothing flimsy about this machine. In comparison, the Lenovo's Yogas do seem less sturdily manufactured.

• The hinge is very sturdy and will not close on you if you were to shake the table or something else. You know it's sturdy when it can be used a couple of different ways. I have a Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus and Razer blade to compare it to and while it's not as sturdy as the blade, it's about as sturdy as the Samsung. Hope that helps

• It feels really solid. There is no play (wiggle) in the hinges themselves. They operate very smoothly when opening the laptop and rotating the screen. There seems to be plenty of resistance to use the device in the "tent" configuration.

• The hinge seems very sturdy. There's no wobble or twist when opening/closing the screen. Didn't really check this on other brands.
