I have not experienced heating as some have noted but I haven't used any programs that require full power.

However if you find you are having cooling concerns you can modify the power options, uninstall any programs you aren't using that might be running in the background, update the drivers, clean the vents. This device has been very popular with no reports of overheating. Make certain you are not covering up the vents on the bottom of the device to allow the heat to escape.
