Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This HP laptop comes with the Windows 10 Home 64-bit English-US operating system installed. After you download everything (cumulative security updates, Fall Creators Update, etc, takes a good evening or so) to bring Windows 10 Home up-to-date, you can go to Windows Store to buy the Windows 10 Pro upgrade for $99~. I did. You then have a relatively short download, and then re-run Windows Update (it will go much faster this time), and you will have Windows 10 Pro. Your laptop will be tied to a digital entitlement license for Windows 10 Pro (Microsoft's server will remember the serial number of your CPU/hardware so you can reinstall / reactivate in the future). Note that the laptop includes a recovery partition on the SSD, but it is for Windows 10 Home. Therefore, after bringing your system up-to-date and upgrading to Windows 10 Pro, I recommend using a 32GB USB thumb drive to create a recovery thumb drive, in case you need to re-install, to avoid having to re-update your system if you ever need to fall all the way back.
