I don’t know about replacing it out of the box. But I added a second unit to the empty slot right out of the box.

This laptop is equipped with DDR4-3200 memory, which is keyed different and is unable to handle DDR5-4800 memory. The latest HP Omen models offer DDR5-4800 memory and the boards can handle up to DDR5-5600 RAM. These are also upgradeable up to 32GB.
