Hi Nick, thank you for asking. You would register the laptop in the country of purchase. The HP Global Warranty provides the standard warranty coverage for a product in the country where it's used, if that country sells or supports the HP product, regardless of where it was originally purchased. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B).
