Thank you for your question on this HP ZBook Firefly! The Intel UHD chipset will work well for basic CAD functions, but for simulations and renderings, a dedicated card is recommended. AutoCAD calls for dedicated card that has at least 2GB of video memory, preferably 8GB. The Intel UHD chipset pulls its memory from the system memory. A better alternative would be to purchase an HP Omen gaming laptop. You can find one with the same configuration, but with a dedicated graphics card!

Most CAD programs will perform better with a discrete graphics card, and this ZBook Firefly 15 G7 has integrated graphics that shares the 32GB RAM. While it may suffice, you might want to review the system specifications for the apps your daughter will be using to verify that this system meets the minimum requirements.
