I have the same issue as yourself with this system. Certain things you can do to increase your volume without raising the volume would be, 1. Buy better speakers, especially a powered subwoofer. A good center channel speaker will make dialog a lot clearer ans easier to hear as well. 2. Adjust your crossover frequencies. 3. Use the Intellivolume feature in the menu option and crank it up to may be around 7 to 10(watch out how high you put it because too much load will cause hissing and static). 4. Adjust the DB levels for each speaker, raise the levels for the channels that you have a harder time hearing. Again watch that you don't increase them too much because of static and hissing.
