“Does the open box item come with the removable grips? I have ipad mini 6 in a folio case and i will need the connection that will not require it to be snug on side of ipad as the folio cover has a bit of depth to it, I fear it cannot mount flush to it.”

Yes it comes with one, it fits the side of my 2021 12.9 iPad Pro perfectly. It also comes with a usb c extension so you don’t have to have it directly attached. Not sure if the mini 6 has a usb c or lighting port but this one is usb c
