Charging a device is not its main purpose. It just adds to the number of things that can be plugged in, and if you have a charger it can also charge the computer on top of that. Very helpful if you use a laptop but like to plug it in to a desk setup sometimes.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The C port plugs into the computer so it is an extension of the computer, you can charge things off of it via USB or c port plug ins as well as connect display screens. It is not to charge your computer.
