That would depend on whether you have wifi or not. This computer is definitely set up for either. I use wifi myself and it works perfectly. My router is downstairs in my livingroom with my other main computer and I have this computer in an upstairs office. I have never used an ethernet cable but I'm sure you could plug one in to it if that is how yours is set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should go from the PC to the router, router to the modem. But My said son he was having a problem with the Ethernet cable connecting so he just connected wirelessly to get around it.
