“What could be causing random lag/freezing during games? It will last a couple seconds every time it does it while i am playing a game. I'm using wireless internet but internet is fine so could it be the wifi adapter or something else? Just bought this PC.”

It could honestly be a number of different things. Try and lower your graphics settings to see if that helps. Don’t rule out your internet speed either. Run a speed test and compare that to what your game recommends.
